This is a touch probe sensor for CNC machines that allows you to scan, copy, and acquire workpieces’ shapes (edges, holes, angles).
The touch probe comes with a tip probewith a diameter of 4 mm.
The probe is “passive, this means that it doesn’t need any wire to power it .
The Amastone touch probe is made of high-quality anodized aluminum and stainless steel.
The probe is certificated IP64, therefore it is totally protected from dust and water splash coming from any direction.
Unlike cheaper probes for hobby use, this probe allows a mechanical calibration so that its axis aligns perfectly with the spindle axis. To make the alignment there are 4 opposed Allen screws to be adjusted.
The Amastone probe has a stem 32 mm long with a 7 mm diameter. For its clamping, you can use an ER collet with an 8 mm hole. You can but the ER collet on Amastone from this page: https://amastone.com/shop/er-collet/
The touch probe is connected via 2 wires: one wire connects to the Input in the control and the other wire to a voltage compatible with the input. The contact is normally closed. In this way, the probe is compatible with all control boards in which there is a normally closed configurable input. For example, Mach3, Twintec Colibrì, QEM Rosetta, Heidenhain, Fanuc, OSAI, Siemens … others.
